Participants will
- practice skills for analyzing and transforming difficult situations;
- develop an understanding of interest-based negotiation and how to do it;
- gain new strategies in preparing for and navigating through difficult conversations; and
- develop abilities in knowing what to listen for and how to respond.
How to further integrate your new opportunity-in-conflict practices?
New opportunity-in-conflict practices are more easily integrated into your repertoire when they are reinforced by a Recharge session following the initial course. We have integrated a Recharge session into the open course program to provide a structured opportunity to revisit some of the core tools, as well as create the space to practice further with one another. Even more importantly, we will create the space for you to reflect on your practice of leadership, so you can ask yourself, “Am I practicing leadership the way I aspire to?”
The Event
The In-Person 3-Day Course begins with a Participant Reception and Dinner, Monday, 17 November.
The following 2 days, Tuesday and Wednesday, 18-19 November will be full days of experiential learning from 7:30 to 5:00, with nourishing breakfasts, lunches and breaks provided.
The Virtual 2-Hour Recharge takes place on Thursday, 11 December, 9 to 11 am Pacific Time
In this session, we will meet online to share experiences of beginning to integrate the opportunity-in-conflict practices we learned in the course, and gain valuable feedback to help us continue to develop our practice.
Participants must commit to be present at all 3 days of the course and attend the online 2-hour recharge session.
